Week commencing 6th August 2018

Thanks to Charlene C, Michael I and Mike H for their emails sent over the month of July.
Thank you Neil C, Lejla and Charlene for your reviews of Hotsuka’s Story and Charlene’s review of Tamuda Rising.
Also, my thanks to all the friends and family I was able to see during last month’s UK visit. Things got a bit hectic, so I’m so sorry there wasn’t enough time to catch-up with everyone—I’ll make it up to you in 2019!

Week commencing 13th August 2018

My thanks to World Building Magazine for their August edition Creatures Monstrous, Magical and Mundane.  I’m looking forward to reading this 57-page edition, which is entirely free!
Thank you to the folks at Fitness22.com who produce the app, Sleep Pillow. This free app plays looped sounds that help you to… you got it, sleep. I use the white noise option to drown out the racket coming from next door while I write. My lovely neighbours have employed a carpenter who uses an angle grinder to sand wood. Hooray!
Finally, thank you to G Willow Wilson for her book, Alif the Unseen, a book about an alternate Arab Spring brought about by computer hacking and the djinn! I’ll be publishing my review later in the week.

Week commencing 20th August 2018

I’m really enjoying the build-up to the coming weekend’s Comic Con. My thanks to everyone posting on Facebook with information about all the interesting stuff to look forward to.
A huge THANK YOU to John Prillo who alerted authors to the problems our common email provider is having with spam. I really appreciated him taking the time to share his experiences of the problem and keeping us abreast of how it was being dealt with.
Finally, my thanks to Bryan Cohen for sharing his slides and delivering an interesting webinar on How to Write Better Amazon Ads.

Week commencing 27th August 2018

My thanks to Flipboard for the simplyscripts.com recommendation. This is a great site containing film scripts dating back to 1928!
Thanks to Nicholas Erik and his great list of book promotion sites.
A big THANK YOU to my editors James Christy and Richard Shealy for being flexible with shifting several deadlines.
And thank you to reader Lejla L for your email.
