Finally, my thanks to Mark Dawson and his crew for last week’s Self-Publishing Formula podcast, which covered the subject of GDPR (the General Data Protection Regulation). After listening to the podcast and reading their useful PDF, I can finally see the wood for the trees! I now have a better idea of what I have to do to ensure future marketing strategies are compliant with this EU regulation.

Finally, thank you to the owner of the small restaurant I visit at lunchtime. While waiting to buy some pastries, I mulled over some plotting for a new series. I must have frowned—which I often do when I’m thinking—because he slapped my shoulder, pointed at a chair and said, ‘Sit. Tell me your problem.’ I declined the offer, concerned he’d misunderstand me when I explained that my problem involved how to kill someone.
