Earlier this year, I returned to the UK to care for my mother, who has Alzheimer’s, while her carer (caregiver), my brother, needed surgery followed by 3 months convalescence. I did enjoy being with family again, and I also came away awed by what my brother does everyday for my mother while trying to make a living as a sculptor.
